The St. Regis New York Unveils Sills Huniford’s Redesign of the Legendary Hotel’s Interiors
The St. Regis New York is revered as one of the finest addresses in the world. The hotel's
luxurious Beaux Arts exterior, dramatic public spaces, richly designed guest rooms and
impeccable service create a luxurious, residential environment, while personal butlers attend to
every wish and desire.
World-renowned interior designers Sills Huniford oversaw the redesign of the hotel's interiors,
emphasizing elegant, modern luxury in custom furniture, fabric and technology. Known for their
work with such clients as Tina Turner and Vera Wang, the refreshed guest rooms were re-
imagined in two color schemes: steel blue green and yellow saffron daffodil. The design team,
celebrated for their extraordinary sense of space, color, texture and modernity, have created
timeless spaces that embrace The St. Regis’ legacy of unsurpassed luxury and trademark
sophistication.
With 227 sumptuous guest rooms and suites, The St. Regis New York is ideally located in the
heart of Manhattan at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 55th Street, steps from the city’s finest
shopping, restaurants and museums.
The St. Regis New York is home to the celebrated Adour Alain Ducasse, which recently received
two Michelin Stars. The hotel's famous King Cole Bar & Lounge, where the Bloody Mary was
invented by famed barman Fernand Petiot in 1934, is home to Maxfield Parrish’s famous Old
King Cole mural, and remains one of the city's most stately cocktail lounges drawing the city's
elite. Astor Court offers a traditional afternoon tea, complete with the soothing sound of the
hotel’s resident pianist.
